Support a hunger-free campus!

Help students who are struggling with food insecurity. Your gift to the Pioneer Pantry will help to keep the shelves full of nutrient-rich foods to ensure that every student can focus on their education and not worry about being hungry.

In September 2023, the Pioneer Pantry moved to its new location in Speert Hall, a larger, more visible, and conveniently accessible space on campus. As such, in the month of September, the Pioneer Pantry was able to serve 249 individuals and received 448 total visits. With such a high demand, the Pantry is a critical resource for all WP students.

Participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were (from left) Jill Guzman, director, counseling, health, and wellness; Donna Minnuch-Spuhler, director, campus activities and student leadership; President Richard Helldobler, Amajane Crumbley '23, pantry coordinator; Miki Cammarata, vice president for student development; Na’seyah Coley, executive vice president, SGA; Eileen Lubeck, dean of students; and Francisco Diaz, associate vice president for student development.

The Pioneer Pantry is a FREE resource for all currently enrolled William Paterson students who are experiencing food insecurity. The Pantry is funded by generous donations from the WP community. It stocks items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, many other shelf-stable items and limited fresh foods; hygiene products, household necessities, and cleaning supplies may also be available.

Founded in 2017, the Pantry is a collaboration between the Student Government Association (SGA), Office of Campus Activities, Service, and Leadership (CASL), and the division of Student Development.
