Many William Paterson University students have financial need and often work one or more jobs in an effort to cover their tuition and living expenses. This leaves little time for getting the most out of an internship experience, engaging in faculty-led research projects and other educational endeavors.
As a small step towards alleviating this challenge, the WP in DC Scholarship was created to help ease the financial burden for a deserving undergraduate student, allowing them to focus on their studies more. The Scholarship is funded by generous alumni and friends residing in the Washington, D.C. area. It will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who has a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and demonstrates financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government), with a preference for a student who has an internship, fellowship, or who is studying in Washington, D.C.
