Many William Paterson University students have financial need and often work one or more jobs in an effort to cover their tuition and living expenses. This leaves little time for getting the most out of an internship experience, engaging in faculty-led research projects and other educational endeavors.
As a small step towards alleviating this challenge, the Southern California Annual Scholarship is being created to help ease the financial burden for a deserving undergraduate student, allowing them to focus on their studies more. Once gifts reach reach $1,000, it will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who has a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and demonstrates financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government).
